Narrow-Band Red Light Setup – Unexpected Eye Length Result (Update)
← Back to experiments overview
Description
A follow-up measurement showed that the eye length did not change in the desired direction. The left eye remained the same length, while the right eye was 10 µm longer compared to the previous day. This suggests that maintaining the same pattern does not guarantee favorable changes, and adjustments may be necessary.

Hello, my name is Carl Soehne and this account has the goal to achieve the best possible eyesight. Many people are myopic, meaning that the eyes are too long. So we are going to research if there is a way to shorten the eyes.
On the first day documented, I went to an eye doctor to get a precise eye length measurement. We used a Carl Zeiss IOL Master 500.
In my room. I blocked for life from outside and turned on narrowband red LED stripes. When I used my computer, it was connected to a TV and in dark mode.
A few days later, I went to the eye doctor again in the morning to get another eye length measurement. The left eye was measured the same length and the right eye ten micrometers longer.
Because this didn't go in the desired direction, I plan to adapt the method for the next days.
